Mosaic is not a virus, it is actually a Trojan Horse. Unlike viruses, Trojan Horses do not duplicate and spread to other files. Instead, they masquerade as useful utilities, then cause damage when you try to use them. If you open the Mosaic “application,” instead of a utility that paints pretty pictures, the directory on your hard disk is destroyed.
